I paid Micke (the owner) a visit a couple of months ago, and drove my own car mabye 350 miles that day. He said it was sweet, listening to that 427 of mine. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

His car was sold new in New York, but he didnīt remember the dealers name. Heīs got paperwork that came with the car, but he keeps it in a vault.
It has just been repainted, and he is eager to get it started again.

This is a four-speed car with endura bumper.

The original engine. Micke had it rebuilt years ago, and they decked the block without talking to him. He said he was sorry he canīt prove it is the original one, even though he knows it is. So I had to bring it to him: Micke, the partial VIN is not on the front pad, itīs down by the oil filter !! So he went.. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Yes, it was there alright, with lots of paint covering it !

Never heard of this lovely lady. Seems like she left Sweden at the age of twenty, and is now making herself a name on your side of the pond. Iīll be looking for her http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
I assume her name was Lena when she left Sweden.

Anders where is yout COPO from? What is the metal dealer emblem? Do you have any paperwork on it?

Itīs a Swedish (used car) dealer emblem: Yankee Cars Eksjö Sweden. My car is matching numbers, but I donīt have any paperwork. The only thing I know is that the bodynumber is next to another COPO that is a verified Malcolm Konner car. Lots of cars were shipped from the N.Y. area to Sweden in the seventies.

Very cool... NY dealer?
Any Ed C. certification?

No certification yet. I hope to meet Ed C. on my visit in September. I will bring pictures of stampings and casting numbers.
My cars VIN is listed as "verified 9561" in the first (or one of the first) COPO Connection Source Books, under Berger and other L-72īs.
I have no idea of how it was verified. It is not currently listed on the website.

Is that the original MPH speedo that's been re-numbered to read in KPH?

I got the retail instalment contract and the invoice faxed to me yesterday by Micke. I will not be showing the last three digits of the VIN.

Part of invoice.
On the retail instalment contract it says that the car is also equipped with tinted glass.
