About 4 months ago I bought 4 cars from an estate of a deceased friend. One of the cars was a 1969 copo camaro that he owned for 26 years or more. The title is still in his name. He lived in New Jersey and the car was bought new there about ten miles from his house. The car was bought at Malcom Conner Chevrolete. The car has 21400 miles on it.
After his death a lot of his paper work was lost. I tracked the car to the original selling dealer and got the order number but thats all. I was wondering if anyone has an information on the copo vins. The car has the original drive train still in the car. No stamped parts. Car runs strong. If you think you could get any other information on this car I will give you the vin number.
Thanks Bob T.

I live about 2 miles from malcom Conner. I'm also friends with the owners son, I race R/C cars with him. I can ask him if there are any records. On another note one of the guys I work with purchased a new 71 Nova from Malcom and always tells me about a silver deuce parked next to it on the floor. He purchased his because it was a 396 not a 350. When I told him the current price he almost had a M.I.

If you post or email me the VIN, I'll see what I know about the car.

Bob: if that car truly has the original drivetrain, then you're golden...case closed! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Jtower, I would be interested in any records on the silver deuce if any exist also. I have not been able to track down the original owner of my car partially due to lack of proximity and time possibly but any help would be appreciated this direction also.

Good luck to the initiator of this thread in finding what he is looking for as well.

Anyone have vintage photo's of the dealership??

Bill.

Before this goes much further, wasn't the dealer Malcolm Konner w/ a 'K' not Conner w/ a 'C'?.

You are correct...It's actually called Paramus Automall now. I purchased my Hummer From them last year. I'll reach out to my friend this weekend to see if his dad was the owner back in the 70's.

The copo camaro still has the original MN motor 4346 carb. 837 altenator original pulleys curv neck radiator trans. and rearend. I had two NCRS big block judges look at the motor to confirm its athunticiy. My friend new the car from day one. It only had two onwners. Interior is excellent including rugs headliner seats door panels. The car never had any rust on it because it was always iside a garage.
I am very capable of doing the car over but I would ruin its unrestored condition which for its age is in very nice condition. You would have to see the car to understand what I am talking about. The car runs very strong and is very tight. Thanks
