Technically, there were no 325hp big-blocks installed in full-size Chevys in 1969. If the car has a factory 396, it would have to be the 265hp version.

Absolutely correct. And, it will have a 2 barrel carburetor. Next step up was the 335 HP version of the 427, which came with a 4 barrel.
