A friend and I just discovered this cool hotrod. I will describe as best I can since it was built before I was born. It is a 1930 Ford Model A body, channeled on what started as a stock frame but is heavily modified to get the look. It runs a 1956 Packard V8 with a 3 spd manuel trans with overdrive. The driveline is open. Ford rearend with 40 juice brakes. Pretty much custom from front to back. The cool part is that it was started around 1959 and took a couple of years to build and other than a couple of gauges and some minor things it remains the way it was built over 50 years ago. Car runs and drives fine. Paint is Pearl White and is from orig build. Clear title in Calif as 30 Ford. Yellow plate is not registered to car. People are trying to build these now to look old but this IS the real deal. Contact me for more questions or pics. 25k. Thanks

Dana,
Where do you find these cars? I'll look for it at Pomona if you don't sell it first. You need to take it to Donut Derelicts.

Hey Dave,
I would love to go to there with the car. Isn't that early in the morning though, you know us bankers...

------I was at Donut Derelicts one time and heard an unreal noise entering the parking lot. My pals and I turned toward the entrance and an unrestored 55 T-Bird pulled in with some very old Halibrands on it. Wandered over and the thing had a stroked 392 Hemi with two turbochargers the size of garbage cans tucked up behind the front wheel-wells and enough tubing to make a plumber jealous. That was probably 2000 or so. Asked the owner about the car and he said he was just out for a morning cruise with his daughter. Only in California...........Bill S

I'll call you to get a wake up call. Coolest thing I saw there was one of The Batmobiles, from the orig TV show. The guy just drove in and parked, got out and had a donut. When he went back to the car he worked some of the gizmo's. I loved that car as a kid.

Dana, everybody is right the doughnut show would be best to take your car too. To get a decent parking spot you will need to be there by 5:00am otherwise you could take a chance of parking it across the street. Huntington beach is having a car show the first week end in June and they are spotlighting these old cars on Saturday. I will get more information if you want. There is another car show on Saturday mornings by the Irvine spectrum that is getting pretty big. That show has some neat cars mixed in with all the GT-40s and Lamborginis. I keep meaning to get pictures posted soon.
