Bought as a very nice unrestored former sYc "feature car". Soon after I bought the car, I sent it to Bruce Hershberger's shop where it was treated to a fresh body-off detailed restoration in 2005-06 complete with all factory assembly markings and details. Finished in striking Rallye Green metallic with black standard interior, this car has all the good stuff. L72 427 ["CE" counter exchange block], and the 4 speed M21 Muncie and BE rear end are correct and believed to be original to the car. All factory date coded components, including factory smog and manifolds, Gardner exhaust, Endura bumper, etc. The factory original VIN and firewall trim plate were not removed during the restoration. I spent north of $125,000 for the restoration using NOS sheetmetal and numerous NOS parts and detail items in the rotisserie resto [including $2,200 to Charley Lillard for the upper/lower radiator hoses]. Correct Uniroyal F70 Wide Tread tires and factory XT wheels color keyed to match the body. D80 air spoiler equipment. Selected to participate in the indoor display at the Carlisle GM Nationals in 2006, and featured in numerous promotional materials for the event. GM of Canada documentation showing Belmont Chev & Olds Ltd, Weston, ON as the originating dealer. Dozens of pictures chronicle the restoration from start to finish. One of the most striking colors for 1969, this car would be a highlight to any supercar collection.

News Flash: GM does not make radiator hoses.

Way back when we did a COPO we got hoses from GM with Gates or Goodyear stampings on them. That would not do so we located some NOS with GM stampings. They were the same hoses so we had a local shop make up matching stamps and then bought a bunch of hoses from NAPA. Took me about 20 minutes to clean and re-stamp them. They were a big seller in the 80s; Cunneen bought a bunch of them. And we sure didn't get $2200/pair.
