Cars been up several times now on ebay. No TTag pic to see if the real color was black. No pic of the engine stamp.

Finally, being an auto hurts. Nice looking car though....

From the Ebay seller:

Thank you for your interest in our 396 Camaro SS. The Camaro is a two owner, original mile car from Western Texas that has lead an entirely rust-free existence. The Camaro has all original panels, and a totally unmolested undercarriage that still retains its original “oxide” colored primer, a feat nothing short of amazing for a car in its late 30’s. As far as anyone knows, there were only two special order black Camaros in 1970, as black was not an option in this year. Both of these cars were produced sans the color options on the fender tag. This is not one of those extremely rare cars….. It is however, only one of 600 396 Camaros in 1970, and is a matching numbers vehicle. I have attached a photo of the fender tag for your consideration. Please let me know if you have any additional questions regarding the car, and feel free to give us a ring to make an offer.

Mr. Noah Alexander, the seller, did correct himself on the production number for this car, which of course is higher than 600 being a 350hp car.

I don't understand making a statement like this about a car. In all due respect, to post something to the effect of "Be Careful" could be construed as a negative sentiment. It could also be construed as a general "Caveat Emptor" statement. Either way I think posters, in general, should clarify statements which are rather ambiguous. If fellow members have something to say pertaining to the history of a vehicle please say it and don't make unclear proclamations. I think that doing so will help separate the wheat form the chaff in terms of the cars discussed on this site.. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

I do not have any ties to this car but it sure seems like a very nice Camaro that has a forthrigth seller based on cursory communications with him.

Tag says the car should be Forest Green with standard dark green vinyl interior.....also, I don't believe those "SS" wheels were available on a Camaro in 1970. Nice looking car though.
