Sorry, I was not able to put any pics on, as they said they were too large. I would be glad to send pics to someone if they knew how to reduce them & post. Thank you, Bruce.

Sounds like a nicely optioned car, I've seen a couple of W/B/R cars offered for sale in the last year (almost bought one). Cool color combo. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Good luck with the sale.

Any Idea on how many were polar whites/blue stripe were ordered with the red interior ? I'm not a pontiac guy ,but one guy selling one last year said he thought about 3 % of the 1700 or so 4 sp cars were the so called "American edition" ( Red/White/Blue) Any body have any definitive info ? Thx

There is no name to this version of the 70 T/A. It is just a white T/A with a red interior. (A very nice one, too! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif)

Yes, this color scheme looks interesting, but all the stories about the "American Edition", Patriot Edition"... are just BS made up by car dealers to hype their white/red cars. There was a factory press car in 1970 in this color scheme and whenever one of these color scheme cars shows up at a "collector car dealer" they always claim that their car is that exact factory show car. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

You could get any color interior in the Firebird lineup, in a T/A. You should see the white T/A's that have the medium green interior. Yech! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Nice car, good luck with the sale.

Thanks for your calls/comments. The Trans Am is still for sale.....so I am lowering the price from $49,500 to $44,500 to move it along. Have too many cars and still have two to come in. Appreciate your interest. Call 512-219-1777 if serious.

Anyone see the July Hot Rod article featuring the Rob Lozins' Pontiac collection. There's a good picture of this car in his collection and a brief description to go along with it. A few of us got to see this collection in October, what a treat. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

Here are the pics from GM:

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a26/JimRohn/53219280_pr.jpg

note this is called a 71, yet it has the low seats ... something they did with the Camaro PR shots too ..

A Dodge dealer (Town & Country Dodge) in Farmington Michigan had one in late 70 or 1971, whether THAT one was the one in the GM press release photo is subject to debate, it may have been, at least it was in the same general area.

I have an opportunity to purchase a car I've wanted for some time now, but I'd really like to sell a car before I commit to the purchase. I bought this car from a member that purchased it from the Rob Lozin collection. I paid $40,000 for the car and I'll sell it for what I paid. I think this is a great car for the money.

Tim;

This really is a great car. VERY rare red, white & blue colors. It looks fantastic after the Tim G special touches! Someone will be getting a great car for the $$. Wish I had the bucks to buy it! Good luck with the sale.

Charley, not Marvins. I wish it was his car, it is a Corvette, though.
The Trans Am has not sold, still available.

I took a hard look at this car a while back.....Tim has it detailed to a very high level. What an amazing red, white and blue combo. Is it still for sale?

I've seen it too, before and after it was detailed. It is simply amazing. This car came out of friends Pontiac collection where it was stored for years. Think about our colors. Red, White, and Blue. Priceless!

Thank you for the compliments on the car. Still for sale. Actually, it would be a great day to go for a ride, sunny and 60 in Austin. Need to sell it to buy an 1160 mile 1970 Z28...............

Tim, Is that Charley's 70 you're buying.

TimG
12-08-2008, 05:43 PM
No, I just posted that to stir things up. For the record, Charley won't sell me his Z.
Actually, I'm looking at a Corvette and I'd like to sell this Trans Am or my white 1970 Z28 that was in the discussion section a few weeks ago. I'll sell either for $40,000 or both for $75,000.

The only change is the addition of correct reproduction Goodyear 60 series tires. Radials go along with the car.

Tim, it was good to see & hear my old T/A last Saturday. Your detailing of the original red interior looked excellent, and of course the sound of that Ram Air motor is true music. Surprised that you are selling it. Bruce.
