Good ad writer. Says it's a 6 cylinder. Also says original tires. None shown in pictures loose. I would like to see 93000 mile original tires. I would think a good detail would also make a big difference when asking top dollar for a original car.

Bill - Rally Red is Olds-speak for orange much like Carousel Red for Pontiac.

Did you notice the optional hood lock? Don't see too many of those. If I had a W30, I'd keep it under lock and key http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif ! Just love the engine bays on these 4 speed W30s....big cold air intake assembly and manual brakes http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif ! Vacuum is for wimps http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif !

This is a very nice original stick W-30. Car broker Crash Klein sold this car about six months ago to this current auto broker selling the car. I believe it sold then for around 120K. Not many cars have this level of documentation making this an excellent prospect for restoration. It also features an excellent color combo. Thanx for posting the link on a very nice example of an unmolested W-machine. RM

I wonder if that broker wears a #4 polo jersey and stands in front of the camera all day at BJ?

Definitely looks original except for a few things.Shifter is for a console application and something looks wrong with the carpet at the boot. Factory 4 speed cars had a metal tunnel welded to the hump to house the shifter. I am not seeing evidence of this tunnel on this car.

What great W-30! The couple observations I have are that I thought with the factory wing option, they omitted the pinstripe on the decklid. In the one shot, the threaded stud you can see seems really long. I guess a shot of the build sheet would clear this one up. Doesn't neccessarily affect the value if it's a "real" wing, just curious.

Guess someone got sick of looking at the washer fluid bottle?????

On the core support, those were "dipped" in black paint? I just thought the latch mechanism was gray phosphate and installed after the core support was painted? I could be wrong on this one.

Hey Paul, I've got a question for you. I've seen several Olds motors with unpainted oil filler tubes. I haven't been able document this one way or the other. Any thoughts?

Really hate the K-mart door lock ferrrules.........

Wish I could afford this thing, cheesy lock ferrules and all! It would look nice next to my 72.

Don't know of any consistentacy on the oil fill tubes. Might have something to do with installing the aluminum manifold and as such they were unpainted and installed later. nothing in engine assembly manual to confirm.

When this car was listed for sale previously it included numerous photographs of the original paperwork. The paperwork represented the car as having been ordered with the factory spoiler.
