Thanks for posting the auctions but how is the last one a Yenko stinger? It has been rebodied with a 1965 body and has a reproduction YS091 tag. It is a clone with a few Yenko parts. JMO

Here's another really nice car coming up for auction :

I think the quality of work and attention to detail is over the top on this car. It's one of my favorites. This will be the one to watch.

YS-028 was for sale also. I never saw it advertised here?

Here's a link to the auction : http://www.mecumauction.com/auctions/lot_detail.cfm?LOT_ID=TV0C08-67359

I didn't get to see it go through, as I had to work.

20K - not bad, but I thought it would get 25. Did anyone ever hear what 091 went for? I was under the impression it was close to 20. I saw some very detailed pictures of 028 before Tom purchased it, and it was much more authentic than 091. On the other hand 091 is a pretty nicely set up track car. I saw it at the 40th Yenko Reunion at Nelson Ledges. Very well turned out machine.

Hey Kasey - I've been a lurker for a while. I finally felt like there was a topic I could add something to, so I signed up. Thanks for the welcome. This board is the best source of info I've ever seen on all of these great cars!

Nickey Chicago has YS-028 Available for sale.(Asking $30,000) It has a fairly well known history. It also has some very cool docs including an original work order, signed by Don Yenko and the original owner protecto-plate and warranty booklet signed by Donna Mae Mimms as well as other info and docs.

This Stinger, is in the Yenko Stinger Registry and like many other Stingers, has also been rebodied.

Stefano - Best of Luck with the sale. I spoke with quite a few people yesterday and today that were suprised the car did not close for a much higher price. From what I know of it, it is a good car that could use a little paint work and some detailing, but is otherwise ready to enjoy as is.
FYI - many may notice the lack of stripes on 028. There were actually quite a few Stingers that left Cannonsburg without the "full treatment". Warren Dernoshek's and Mark Gillespie's cars were both sold as stock appearing Corvair Corsa's with no stripes or fiberglass parts. 028 was sold with a Decklid and Landau Panels, but never had stripes and is correct as such. I have seen pix of the decklid and it is a correct Yenko part.

I heard some rumors and made a call last night to confirm and they were true. YS-003 sold off Ebay and now is in Springfield, Mo. for the time being. I bet it shows up at the R & S Monterey auction.. and I am a betting man.....

It sounds like it was well bought as there was over 100K in the restoration.

Thanks for the info, Cool Piece of Yenko History with incredible Docs. Original owner lived in Hoffman Estates.
Race prepped by Yenko Chevrolet.

Where else can you get a race car that can be SCCA/Vintage legal for $30,000.00? Club racing these cars can be fun too.

We didn't have any time to advertise the Stinger at Mecum. We ran it through just a few days after prying it out of Tom's hands. It will run thru again at the 1,000 plus car Spring Classic. It may sell no reserve, not sure yet??

Holy S**t! Chris, you didn't tell me that. And to think, I turned down a job working at the Ranch 15 years ago.
