Mike I cannot believe your are selling this car. I am so mad right now that I have no space for it. Otherwise I would be driving down right now to pick it up. Whoever ends up with this car is one lucky guy. And at this price I can't imagine it will last long. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't this pretty much the only known example of an 70 SS survivor in this kind of shape? Awesome piece.

Damn!

Great talking to you Mike! Looks like I will be sending a deposit on the car today. Should be a nice twin to my 1970 Z-28.

Paul,

Citrus SS and a Z28. I'm envious... all you need a L78... and maybe a daily driver plane jane... maybe... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Thank you Paul! And thank all of you for all the kind words about the car and your interest. Not many of these original paint cars left. I am sure it will be in good hands with Paul! Mike

Several years ago I had a 69 L-78 original paint car with 20,000 miles and P-O-P but had to sell due to a property settlement with my ex. I did learn quite a bit regarding original finishes and markings though. The engine was not original to the car but the rest of the driveline was. L-78, M21 and 4.10's were nice!

This 70 SS Camaro reminds me of this car:

I remember when you sold that car Paul.....I wanted it in the worst way but the funds just wern't there. Do you ever hear from the guy that bought it? That was and probably still is, a great 69 Camaro! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

I sold it to a collector out of Toronto who bought the car to race in Pure Stock Drags. It was delivered to Legendary Motorcar and had the spoilers removed to restore the car to original and the trunk re-sprayed with matching Lacquer I sent with the car. He proceeded to show it where it placed 2nd in the restored class, but have not heard from him since. I put a lot of work into that car and still miss it.

The '70 is a sweet piece! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drool.gif.

You deserve it especially considering why your '69 had to roll out the driveway!.
Didn't the guy up here that bought the '69 have a '69 Goat w/ a Stefco built motor...Mario something maybe?.

Nice to know something so original is heading your way...can't wait to see more pics and original details!.
