Finally seen the sun today so I took the Cuda out for some pictures.. The car has the look and pops at you, people drool all over it! Its took alot of awards at shows last summer. Underside is as clean as the top. 71's are the year to have.

I know nothing about 'Cudas, so perhaps explain why '71 is 'the' year? Is it style, performance, options, colors, etc.. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Yes Marlin it is the styling along with very low production numbers.

The Fish Gill Vents on the front Fender and the design of the front Grill give the '71 a much more distinct and aggressive look. The Bill Board Graffics, which are very rare from the factory', were only available in 1971 as well.

71's have a different grill than 70. They were the only year cuda to have the four headlight grill. 71's were the only year to have the gilled fenders. This is why most people like the 71s over the 70s. They just look more indimidating, especially in all black. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif Production for 71 was less than 70. 71 total production, 16,492, and 70 total production was 48,867. 292 'Cuda convertibles were made in 71 compared to the 548 made in 70. Original parts for the cars are hard to find and when you do get them they are rediculously expensive. Its a good price for the car. I see the less desirable 71 318 Barracuda Convertibles going for 110-120K on ebay. However, I didn't think that the small blocks were painted chrysler blue until the 72 model year. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

theres what i call a gun metal grey BillBoard Cuda here in town that seems to always be going the other way and I can never get turned around in time to catch up with him. Older guy in his mid 60s drives it and it looks like ORG paint They are pretty neat cars
