I have made the decision to consign my '69 Yenko 427 Chevelle to the May 16th Mecum/Indy auction. I have previously offered the car available at $300k with good positive response but no committed buyer to date. The car has a detailed description as the Sept. 2007 Supercar Registry feature car but briefly it is a well documented 26k mile, 90% orig paint automatic, Hugger Orange-Blk Vinyl Top-Bucket seat car with a fresh chassis and driveline resto with high detail and attention to factory build characteristics. Overall a dynamite car with a clear, no question history and lots of eyeball. Any interested party can contact me prior to the sale for more info or a detailed inspection in Erie, Pa. prior to Indianapolis. As original paint cars are being more appreciated, this car will be recognized as virtually impossible to duplicate in a collection. Thank you for allowing this forum to list my car as being available. George Lyons Erie, Pa. 814-450-0926

George - fine Yenko. Best of luck at the auction. You forgot the best part about your car is the fact that it was delivered new at Marv Minneman Chevrolet in Youngstown, Ohio!! (http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=feature&Number=290777&pag e=0&fpart=all)

I am heading for Indy shortly with the Chevelle that is running on Saturday 1-2PM. I just got Dana's catalog........WOW, lots of heavy muscle in one sale. Should be lots of fun and very interesting. Also televised I understand on HD Theater, A Discovery Network.

I've been watching the Mecum auctions on HDTV - good viewing! It's entertaining to watch Dana and the others run around to get deals made. Although the announcers don't display a lot of muscle car knowledge. And they frequently list Corvettes and Camaros as having two doors...

YES, Orange sYc Chevelle sold for 240k, I'm very satisfied and Dana did a great job with a very friendly, helpful staff. As for Indy location, it is a spectacular facility. I would trust Dana again.
