Next week my Nova & docs will be listed on the American Street Machines website for sale. I don't think anyone has ever shared this here, so I thought you might like to see it first. I don't know how many of the known Nova's have the 'delivery checklist', but's the only one I have ever had. Note: the original owner was from K.C. Mo. & not K.C. Kansas

I know Annie's COPO has it and I believe Dennis Hartweg had some sheets for a few others as well.

The orig owner, James Larrimore, told me he that while he was on leave form Viet Nam, he & his sister drove to LaHarpe to buy the Nova. When they arrived the dealership was closed, but he called Fred at home & they reopened it to sell him the car. He told me there was a Matadore Red & this one in the showroom. He bought it & drove it home that night. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif
I asked Helen if she had any memory of this transaction hoping that she might confirm Fred's invovement as the possible 'sales guy', but she didn't.
I know Bill P. had most of the Gibb letters & documents at one time. He was nice enought to give them out and not charge $$ for them as long as you could prove ownership.
Dennis, we miss you http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

He was definitely one of the ones that was in it for the good of the hobby and NOT the money. I am amazed at what he had amassed from Fred Gibb and Dick Harrell and the things he did for owners of the cars without taking money. This was his passion. Besides that fact, he was just an all around nice guy and would take time to help anyone.

I do not believe that the Gibb name would be anywhere near where it is today if not for Dennis and several of the other sYc members who have worked so hard to find the history of it, work with the Gibb family and bring it to where it is today. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

The reason it took so long to sell was probably the 90 day warrentee http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
