Broken hip and still performing - felt he "owed" it to his fans.

Tom performed here in July at Bluesfest,and put on a fantastic show!Even though he must have been in a lot of pain with a broken hip.

What really needs to happen is people need to stop trusting the drug pushers. I've lost too many friends to this, but in most cases it ended up being abuse was the cause. It seems to stem from one back problem, one pain etc. They go see the Doc and the drug pusher gives them the opioids. They're hooked. I think some people are just predisposed to being an addict and don't have the ability to stop on their own. I didn't hang out with him, but it doesn't appear to be the case with Tom Petty. It sounds like he was being treated for a lot of pain and he trusted the Doc.
RIP Tom Petty.
