1969 Dick Harrell Copo Camaro
21 Attachment(s)
Original unrestored Dick Harrell COPO Camaro. 1 of 6 produced. Born with motor and BE rear end replacement M22 tranny. To the best of my knowledge this is the only unrestored example in existence. Also the only one with the original motor. The car was sold new at Bill Allen Chevrolet after being modified by Harrell's shop in 1969. It was traded back in to Bill Allen where it was bought by the second owners brother who I was told worked at Harrell's shop. The car hadn't ran since 1974. We took the motor apart and it had a stroker crank shaft and Howard aluminum rods. It had been Decked but the vin number is very legible on the side of the block. The picture provided of the vin number is the day I bought the car, you can see the patina and rust in the vin. You can still read the MN 427/425 HP code calk marks in the back of the block shown in picture. The motor was professionally rebuild by Mark Jones, well known engine builder. Special care was taken to leave the patina on the outside of the motor. The motor made 633 HP on the dyno. The car ran an 11.30 at the supercar reunion while granny shifting it to make sure the trans or rear were not broken. The car comes with all the Dick Harrel Display items seen in the photo. Also vintage pictures of the car when new and score sheets from Mcacn. This car would be the crown jewel of any car collection. This car shocked the camaro world when it was found with over 250,000 views on the youtube link below.

This is one cool ol' warhorse! Any more "back in the day" pics?
And with the original engine no less. Yall remember that 1970 LS6 Dick Harrell Camaro? This would be a great bookend to whomever wound up with that Camaro. https://www.yenko.net/forum/cache.ph...6frontside.jpg /Rich /R |
