I looked on Saturday and the listing showed the Bid Goes On @ $2.7 Million, yesterday it showed SOLD but listed no price. Anyone know what it sold for? Bill

One of our own was bidding on it and tried to purchase it after the sale. Hopefully he was able to secure the deal and add it to his collection.

Mecum.com must have just listed the sale price on their results section because it wasn't on there as of Tuesday. Bill

Sometimes it takes a while to put a bid goes on deal together, especially at that price point.

Interesting that this 67 red coupe alone went for $3.52m and the pair (first 67 and last 69) went for $2.58m.

As I understood it, the only thing original on the black 67 was the VIN tag and Trim tag........and maybe some of the bridcage

When there is so little of the original DNA left of a car, what do you have?

Maybe I'm all wet,,, but IIRC isn't the '67 the one that was heavily race modified when new including cutting down the A pillar, then restored to stock, then restored to race trim again, then back to stock...again?? :confused2: :hmmm:

Or do I have that story all wrong?? :dunno:

Big Block Bill 01-25-2024 02:41 AM

Yes you are correct. It had "A" pillars like a Grand Sport and a short windshield when raced.
