Know of a block that has the partial VIN for a 69 Camaro.
Anybody here know or have the car?

were big blocks stamped that deep? A small block that deep is usually not good

What difference would it make whether it was a small or big block regarding the stamp depth???

Not a stamp expert, but never seen one that deep and legible.
If you have the original trans, look at it carefully and see if it matches.
I think they were the same stamp set (asking)?

I was thinking assembly stamp i guess. Vin was stamped at the plant. So there shouldnt be any difference in big or small blocks. Just trying to learn something.
