What to do with old Hemmings mags
I have boxes and boxes of Hemmings Motor News. I think they go from the late eighties till present. Going to do some major cleaning of the shop and don't have a clue as to what to do with them. Suggestions?

They're a very good resource for a few guys to find out the origins of their cars today.
Not to mention, they are fun to look at and remember a time gone by. There's value in em. |
I can relate. I have a ton of old mags including Hemmings Muscle Machines, Hot Rods, Car Crafts, etc. Just taking up space, not sure what to do with them.

I kept the January and July issue from each year and donated the rest. I will miss some of the adds in doing so but greatly reduced the space they were taking up.

My brother gathers books and such for donations overseas to our troops. Magazines are heavy and expensive to ship, (to my brother, not overseas) but I can ask if he is interested in sending them. I know the donations usually leave from Quantico and he is in FLA for a while. I give mine to some other car guys that don't have subscriptions.

.... Use them to.... "Wallpaper the Bathroom walls" :cool2: |
Yes, the Troops at the Armory's and also some VFW's like them too.

It's always a good idea to re-purpose old car magazines. We need to encourage more young ones to get involved. Think about donations to a library, a Boy Scout troop, the YMCA, where ever you can think of where young people gather (or sit in a waiting room)
