"Baby Pictures" of your supercar....
15 Attachment(s)
Seems like folks just rarely took pictures back in the 1960s...or the pictures they took haven't survived. I was amazed to see a small photo album of this '68 Impala SS427 for sale including interior shots - would be great to reunite it with the car.
***Tony I added a few pics to your original post which is now 32 pages of amazing pics from back in the day. I'm posting on our website FB page.*** Steve Shauger http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/kTwAAO...gc/s-l1600.jpg |

Re: "Baby Pictures" of your supercar....
Love that 68. I do not think that car has surfaced anywhere but could be wrong.

Re: "Baby Pictures" of your supercar....
I have a huge collection of dated photos. Most of which are drag racing specific (Motion Performance and Grumpy Jenkins mainly) but I love period photos, especially one with a date, especially engine shots. Thanks for sharing! Post more pics guys!

Very cool!!! Can you email the full size pics.?. Would like to look over the engine compartment closer. What's the build date & I assume Norwood built.?.

Re: "Baby Pictures" of your supercar....
06B Norwood, owner ordered.
He scanned and e-mailed pictures @2003 when I first bought car. I contacted him from name on POP and a quick internet whitepages search. Not sure the e-mailed jpg. is any different than the posted, but will send anyway. PM me your e-mail. Dave |

Re: "Baby Pictures" of your supercar....
I'm both delighted and not surprised to see many of the "children" (the thread is titled "Baby Pictures") wearing new "shoes" at such an early age. This offers proof and solidifies the "Day 2" theory of muscle cars being changed from "as delivered" condition by their owners almost immediately after taking possession.

Those same tires are still mounted on the original dated YH wheels. The original spare tire still mounted on the original dated spare in the trunk. |

Enrico and Lenora Stein bringing their newly purchased 1973 SD455 Formula to the BMW Annual FallFest in late 1973. He wanted to rub it in the face of the dealers after BMW refused to sell him a 1973 2002 Tii at anything less than sticker plus dealer mark up. He wanted to show them just what you could buy for 1/2 what they wanted for the new BMW.

Got these pics from the man who painted my car from when it was first shown in 1980. These probably aren't baby pics, but more of a rebirth of it to what it still is today:

The spare is a Good Year Wide Tread GT. |

I've posted this before on CRG. But this was June 69. Dad took delivery of her in late Feb (01B build). Non spoiler car, didn't take long for him to add a short one. I love this photo. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...une_1969_2.jpg
I drive the car regularly today. |

My brother's 69 SS396 four speed back in 1979 when my Dad bought him the car. This was the day we got it home in the snow. Stange car. Real Daytona Yellow car. California assembly line built with a full 68 style vinyl top that went down the A piller.
