69 Hemi RR at Mecum
I have a friend who is interested in this car at the upcoming Mecum Kissimmee auction....

I do not know specifics about this Road Runner. But looking at the photos I can tell you a couple of things that come to mind:
Hood Pins were never an option on the 1969 Road Runner. Dodge did offer them on 4/7/69 - Chrome hood hold-down pins (code J45) were released for Super Bee, Coronet R/T, and Charger R/T. Hood hinges and front latch were retained. It looks like the Chrome Exhaust Tips are from the Super Bee/Coronet R/T which are square while the Road Runner 's are more oval in shape: https://s26.postimg.org/lnt07no6h/image.jpg https://s26.postimg.org/elv2lgkkp/367278_135540_020.jpg Fixing the Exhaust Tips is simple. Fixing the Hood Pins if your friend wants the car to be "factory correct" is another story - as far as cost It appears to be an A34: Super Track Pak which included the Dana 60 with 4.10 gears, sure grip (posi), 7 blade torque drive fan, 26" high performance radiator with shroud and power front disc brakes. |
That is one nice bird.Bob

What I want to know: How can any competent restorer make this blunder?? It's a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned. https://image.ibb.co/mrbVNb/3_15085335599562x.jpg Pete |
