This is interesting from http://holisticpage.com/camaro/camaros/67pace2.htm
A.J. Foyt won the '67 Indy 500, but he turned down the car because it didn't have air conditioning or a power top. So Chevrolet decided to build another car for A.J., and it was produced in the same run of cars as the special Canadian built cars. Because they were all produced together they all got the special clear coat paint and the 0-1 code. In addition, they were all built after the race, date code 06C. This brings our total to 103. |
BS. None of them got factory clear coat....
|
What does the "special" 0-1 paint code denote?
Not all Festival Pace cars were big blocks. |
O-1 is special paint (colors) with white top.
|
What was special about the paint over the regular C - 1 paint code Pace cars?

Blue nose stripes would be special paint.
Lee, Not everything on the internet are true, just most. ;) That site hasn't been updated for over a decade. It also tells you to register your car with USCC, which went defunct long ago. |
There were Pace Cars with Blue nose stripes coded C-1 as well as 0-1. What was the difference there ?
