Anyone have a good effective way of removing factory undercoating?

Thanks

The Peelaway stuff is supposed to be pretty effective. I was designed for removal linoleum tile adhesive originally.

I used kerosene with a plastic scraper and I did not have any scratches and it does not remove the original finish.

Rather than using any kind of chemical, I've had great results with a heat gun and a plastic scraper. Safer.

Mineral spirits, lots of soaking and it will usually scrape off with a plastic scraper. Messy job but uncovering the usually mint floor pans is worth it.

Thanks for replying

Maybe I will try a couple ways suggested and see what works best...
I have a lot of work ahead of me, underside, interior floor pans and so on...

A small propane torch and a plastic scraper.

If you're going to use a torch make sure you do that prior to the chemicals or kerosene ... we don't want to read about you in the paper

I remember reading somewhere(years back)
about using transmission fluid to remove
undercoating? If I remeber it was suppose
to work well? Any thoughts or experience with
trans fluid?
