1969 COPO Chevelle
Want to thank everyone for the help on the rear axle # issue. Now, the
question is , how does a person go about authenticating the partial VIN stamped into the block? It looks rite to me, but I understand there are some good re stamps out there . Dave |
---- Someone here will take a look at it by PM or E-mail if you don't want to share that with everybody just yet. And,,, someone on the sight may have already authenticated the stamping. Hang on and you will probably be able to pick and chose!.......Bill S

Dave,
So my 2 cents worth........ It looks like someone took the time and effort to turn the rear axle into something MUCH more desirable and costly than it really is. RED FLAG! For me that is a turn off because there are shenanigans going on with this car, not knowing who modified the rear axle tube. Patience is a virtue in this hobby (easier said than done). Put the word out what you are looking for and approximate budget and there is a good chance some of the folks around here who are very savvy and well connected will provide you with some options. The car should speak for itself as to its provenance/authenticity. Good luck! |
LMC has it in Canada

That eBay car BigGearHead posted the link to is VIN 136379B404108 and used to be owned by a past member. He hasn't posted in 15+ years but there's info on this car in old threads here. https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthrea...t=70686&page=2 :beers: ~ Pete . |
I would be interested in the L 78 Chuck.
