Valve Covers with Poly Locks for SBC

Looking for ideas on vintage style valve covers for SBC that will clear poly locks....

How much higher do they need to be and would adding base spacers be a solution? Like these or others similar... http://www.ebay.com/itm/SBC-Small-Bl...-/132319747382 :beers: ~ Pete . |
I guess that could work, was thinking maybe some vintage Edelbrock scripted ones too - just not sure if they would high enough, going for a bit of a Day 2 look on Danny's '67 Camaro....

Short locks with roller rockers on this one. I've done it with iron heads and aluminum heads which already have taller rails. Add a thicker gasket and you can hide the rockers with lower profile covers if you like.

I have the 9 finned aluminum Cal Customs on my AFR's. And they clear real nice with a single cork gasket
