My 1970 Camaro L78 at the 2011 Muscle Car Nationals...the dark spot at the tip of the hood is where I had my hand every time I shut the hood for 44 years...I have since broken that habit. No restoration, just maintained over the years.

Do you have any pictures from the side and under hood? Do you still have the hood that is on your car from the 80s picture?
