Re: Old Newspaper Classified Ads
A couple of '69 SS Chevelles in there but I'd be interested in the 300 mph Plymouth jet car.

How about some of those Ferraris....$30k then, $10 mil today. Some are more! 427 Cobras cheap, too!!!

Re: Old Newspaper Classified Ads
----Many of you may not know much about Classic Motors but I was working there at the time this add came out. Those were heady days. The Ferraris weren't ours but a good friend of Richards. Quite a line up though. Anyone notice that there were multiples of almost all the fuelies......Bill S

Re: Old Newspaper Classified Ads
Great posts, thanks! I have been considering joining one of those online digital newspaper archive sites. Can you search for keywords, VINs, plate numbers etc, or do you just have to browse and look?

Old Newspaper Ads
It's a mix of what papers have been scanned and how well any searches may work but any hope for Vins/Plate #'s etc would be if originally in the ads specifically and exactly the same as you're now searching too. I'm not pleased w/ the Newspapers.com group I'm riding with being as soon as you join, immediately they want more $ right away for what you thought you were getting in the first place so I'm sticking w/ my spot here in steerage and seeing how it goes? Can anyone here confirm area codes of the era for some of the ads above, we should at least try to backtrack the 427 Camaros? Cool stuff Jon and lets dig up a few more, really love that Koenig one!!!
