Triple Black '70 LS6 Chevelle

Neat that the owner's had this one since 1973...some good period pics posted in the auction.

I can't say I have ever seen a '70 BB Chevelle with a partial VIN like this...the 0 and the leading 1 are swapped, and the 'B' assembly code is offset. Supposed to be the original block. What do you guys think?

If the carb stamp is any indication......

Ah yes....

Even to my non-expert eyes, that carb stamp does look a little funny.

Don't see this as a triple car either,as it didn't come with a black vinyl top.

Wait - I'm confused. It is advertised as a "triple black 70 LS6 Chevelle", and it currently has a black interior, but all of the vintage shots show it with a white interior. Was it changed at some point and I am missing it mentioned in the ad? Is that the same car in the pictures? (Personally, I like the white interior eve better than black.)

RSSSfan 05-14-2019 10:26 PM

At one point in the ad it says "Very clean and original interior", and then just down below it is "The Black Bucket Seats were fully refoamed, recovered, and feature new piping and seat medallions".

So what is it - original interior or restored? You can't have both! And there is no mention of a color change from white (in the original pictures) to black. Something smells fishy here...

I think to some people the word "original" means "restored using material that represents the original design".

Since I'm here I may as well add: to some people "survivor" means "it still exists".

Now that is funny …… and true!

The carburetor is definitely restamped and the brake booster is a repop......I’m sure there’s more wrong but this were the first things I see.
