Whoever you choose, I hope you're not in a hurry

I used this company, and was pretty well satisfied with the work....took about 5 weeks longer than they initially told me though....

I had a couple enthusiastic recommendations for Gary's when I was in the market, but at the time Gary told me it would be 5 to 6 months before he could have it finished

I do not think Gary is as busy as he use to be so the turn around time should not be an issue.

Re: Steering Wheel Restoration Service

I have several 1970 Camaro steering wheels that have minimal
scratches and needing polishing.

I wrote GARY (above) and waiting for his reply

Are there any other contacts that can do minor polishing
The wheels arent cracked and broken

Thanks

I have inquired with Gary on the turn around time to restore my SS steering wheel. Waiting for a response. :D

Sent Gary a couple of messages but no response. Does anyone know if he is still in business?

Has anyone had any work done by him lately?

He restored my '68 Camaro SS steering wheel last summer. Took about 4 weeks. Looks brand new. Great job.

Does he paint or just polish the standard 69 wheels when he restores them?

would you happen to have some before and after pics Rich? I would like to get my rosewood wheel restored for my `69 z28. just has one small crack at the 6:00 position. thanks

Here are a couple of before and after pics of my steering wheel that Gary restored. It had hairline cracks typically found on these steering wheels. Gary completely repaired them, painted and polished the entire wheel. I don't have a close up pic of the repaired cracks but they're completely gone. If anyone wants a close up pic just let me know.

Not sure about the '69 wheel but I suspect it would be no different than the process he used on my '68 wheel. That is, it is painted and polished.

thanks for posting the pics. my wheel has more than a hairline crack, probably a good 1/16" right at the bottom but is the only crack in the wheel. I will try to post a pic but new at posting pics and have a hard time with size limits. thanks again for posting the pics Bob.
