Cincinnati, OH dealer ID needed

Only clue I have is they were at the Colerain Exit off I-75 back in 68. I believe the dealer is Joseph as they are still on Colerain Road but that's off I-275, not 75 unless the roads were different numbers back then. Thanks

I275 was still on the drawing board in 68. I275 is a circle freeway. Or a bypass from going through the heart of the city. Living anywhere around the I275 loop is what is known today as Suburbia. I believe the dealer you are asking about and referring to is, in fact, Joseph, a well known performance dealer that sold several COPOs. Here is a link to a 1968 Texaco map of the Cincinnati area

Wasn't there also Superior Chevrolet located on Spring Grove ave. very close to the Colerain location? Or maybe they came about after Joseph moved? They would have been located no more that a couple of miles apart. I used to buy parts at Superior in the mid 70's.

Joseph was the dealer that sold the 1978 Anniversary Corvette that the owner wanted to have picked up with no miles and no dealer prep which created quite a stir in the Cincinnati newspapers the buyer did eventually get his wishes but I don't know what happened to the car

You originally had to get off of I-75 and drive up through different communities to get to Colerain and to the Joseph dealership but when 275 got built it just so happened that it was right there where the dealership was at so the original plan was to go up Colerain Avenue to get there

joseph chevrolet has never moved. It sits in the same location since 1965ish. colerain ave cincinnati ohio. In cincinnati dealers were very close together queen city chevrolet- joseph chevrolet- glenway chevrolet- marge schott chevrolet- sweeney chevrolet- courtesy chevrolet , and more. In 1969 the 2 main high preformance dealers in cincinnati were queen city and joseph chevrolet.
