ULTRA RARE L89 option closed chamber GM casting number 3919842 Big block Chevy aluminum cylinder head. Used on L88 and L89 Corvettes in 68 and part of 69 and also Camaro Chevelle and Nova in 68,69 and 70.
In general factory big block aluminum heads were used and abused throughout the years and very difficult to find in any condition,with hogged out porting and grinding on,battleship valve springs that would crack the stud boss and pull the rocker studs out and require repairs that weren’t always the greatest quality. This one is NEW OLD STOCK and dated MARCH 17, 1969!If you’re currently restoring an L-78 L-89 optioned car or perhaps already have one, having another one around for a spare might be a good idea.
