Hi Everyone,

I'm selling the spare XT rim out of my trunk.

It's an original Hugger Orange painted wheel that was rattle canned black years ago.

Dated K19 5 * 9 - May 9, 1969

I'll dismount the old F70 tire - it's not included.

This is just for the wheel, nothing else shown - which is in original-ish condition, would need to be restored for a concourse car, but serviceable as a survivor type item.

$400 shipped to the 48.

Thanks sYc,
Anthony

If you spray the rim with oven cleaner it will take the black spray bomb paint off that.

Oh, yeah?! Any brand or type preferred? Leave it set or wax on / wax off?

You can likely tell I tried a few years ago to clean it off, but used something a little too strong and started going through the HO, so I stopped.

Let me know how to do it / what's succeeded in the past and I'll attempt it.

Thanks!
Anthony

The gas tank in my low mile 74z/28 was painted spray bomb black with pinstriping. I sprayed it with easy off oven cleaner and it took the paint right off and underneath the paint was a mint looking gas tank.

I sprayed it on, let it sit and washed it right off.

here's what it looked like after

Im not sure how it works with a painted wheel. I had the same black spray bomb paint all over the floor pans and I used the same easy off oven cleaner and it lifted all the spray bomb paint and revealed nice original primered/overspray floors

Why would you sell the original spare/tire? Just curious. Looks pretty cool in the trunk.

Hi, it's not the original spare / tire.
