1967 Bolero Red Nickey
 

Hey all,

Love this site, long time lurker. Unbelievable knowledge base here...

I remember in high school around '97 I was feeding on a heavy dose of muscle car mags. One car inparticular stuck in my head, an article on a Bolero Red 1967 Nickey Camaro. I got rid of the mag years ago...I recently did a search hoping to find a scan of the article but I couldn't dig up anything else but one of the photos from the article.

Does anyone know the car or have a link to more information? I'm just curious to read about it again years later. One of those Camaros that just 'stuck' in my mind as one of the ultimate Camaros...I can't think of a '67 off the top of my head I like better.

Are you certain that this particular picture is of the Nickey Camaro you mention? There were a few red RS/SS Nickey Camaros featured in magazines.

Thanks for your reply.

I would say I'm pretty certain, but not 100% certain since I read the article ~12-13 years ago. For some reason, I think it might have been Chevy High Performance magazine around '97.

I would know for certain if I saw the whole article. Seems like I remember the rear antenna option being on the car but I don't know how common that was on the '67 Nickeys.

That is definitely the article I remember! <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="text-decoration: underline">THANKS!</span></span> If that is your scan, can you rescan in higher resolution? Or take some high res photos of it with your camera? I can't quite read it.

Also what mag / month / year?

Anyone know the car or Mr. Barry Smith?

This is from an ebay ad a couple months back. I was hoping to locate the magazine it was in but, so far I can not identify which mag. Hopefully someone here may recognize it.
