1972 Camaro Z28 Value???

its a bit too late for this question now... but...
i just purchased a 72 z28... the car is all original: numbers matching: engine, heads, intake, carb, distributor, alternator, tranny (m22), drive shaft and rear end... even the original jack and spare w/poly... also pulled up the carpet and found what appears to be the original sound deadener and the floors still in red oxide... the car underwent a full restoration in the early 90's... still looks very nice, but will need new paint and some detail work under the car and under the hood... of course, some interior touch ups... etc... car is silver w/black stripes and black standard interior... the car has no docs (w/ the exception of the original owners manual and emission booklet which are of no value), but do have all previous owners history and is a true #'s matching car... being that there were only 2575 built in 72, does this give it any additional value??? gave 16k...
OPINIONS APPRECIATED???

The car was posted for a week on the nasty z28 site with a selling price of 16K and you bought the car. Its worth what you paid, so enjoy your car congrats. Are you planning on painting the car??

From what I recall it's a very good car to start, so it should be easy to bring it to 100%.

or . . . you could enjoy it as is for a period of time until you think you HAVE to make it so you will be afraid to drive it ...

I heard through my grapevine that the Chev Connection sold a 72 Z-28 at B/J for $65K ???????????

Was told that car was bought at a previous auction for $22K, fluffed and flipped ?????

ANYBODY see it at B/J.........I'm too lazy to research any catalog...........

Yes, drive it as is for a season and then see if you still want to put it back to 100% correct/original. I had my 70 L78 car out for our local club meet yesterday and it was around 30 degrees out. It's still a blast to drive the car even in the winter.
