59 Impala yardstick
 

I stopped at the neighbors today and her brother passed away years ago and they are cleaning out his buildings. The had a barrel of local yardsticks. I latched on to these and thought i would share them. 54 inches long and pretty odd.

Great way to show just how low the overall height was! How many people do you suppose took one of those home and put it up next to their car to compare the height? Smart advertising concept.

They stuck out of the barrel they were in and my neighbor said he won't miss them. Kept catching his shirt on them when he walked by!

They also did the same yardstick for 1958 Impala. There was a big difference in height from 57 to 58.

ive had a few but diff years have diff meanings..if i remember right its about head room..
