Vintage Certification Program @ MCACN

Vintage Certification is again proud and excited to be a part of the MCACN experience. This is a must attend event. Come Join Us and have your car Vintage Certified at MCACN Nov 23rd & 24th in Chicago

Vintage Certification™ is a judging program whose sole purpose is to recognize, provide status, provenance, and promote un-restored (survivor) vehicles. We believe it is the only program that focuses on documenting and benchmarking these cars. Our core certification team consists of Brett Merryman, Chris White, John Karvonen, Frank Badalson, Roger Gibson, Steve Shauger and other marque specialists based on make and model. Each core team member possesses over 30 years experience as restorers, collectors, historians and judges in the hobby. Typically we spend 3hrs examining in detail every segment of your car including on a lift. The MCACN show http://www.mcacn.com is the perfect venue to have your vehicle certified. You will be among and exclusive group of enthusiast who participate in this new exciting event.

We understand not every original car is 100% untouched, and we offer four levels of certification, based on the originality of the Vehicle.
Vintage Certifications™ levels are divided into four divisions:
Vintage Legend - Cars that are 85% unrestored or better in all reference areas.
Vintage Heritage - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in four reference areas.
Vintage Legacy - Cars that are 85% unrestored or better in three out of five reference areas.
Vintage Reference - Cars that are 85% unrestored in at least one reference area.

Reference Areas: Certification consists of two areas of consideration, Originality and Preservation. Reference areas are as follows:

• Engine Compartment Area
• Exterior Body
• Interior Body
• Underbody
• Trunk
This is Vintage Certification™ 15th year and we continuing to expand and educate enthusiast on factory standards. Below is a preliminary list of vehicles to be certified. At the moment we have two opening for certification.

VINTAGE CERTIFICATION™ PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING:

• Encourages the preservation, status, recognition and appreciation of the unrestored vehicle.

• Offers the hobbyist the opportunity to have their Vehicle certified objectively, fairly and provides provenance and pedigree.

• Promotes and adheres to the philosophy that the original car showing wear is preferable to one that is improperly restored

• Vintage Certification™ represents a repository of factory correct standards by which the hobby and serious restorers can all benefit

• Vintage Certification™ identifies a Vehicle as having completed a thorough exhausting inspection process, which references factory standards, and at a level as established by Vintage Certification Group.

Again we have only two certification opening available, so to ensure your Vintage Certification participationcertifiplease contact us ASAP because we only accept a maximum of 9 cars per event.

For those who have unrestored cars and want to display their cars we have a display only area (non judged) exclusively for unrestored cars "Vintage Heritage Collection". Having a display area for unrestored cars allows owners of like cars to be displayed together and recognized collectively.

If you have any questions email us at [email protected] or call me, Steve Shauger @(631) 514-9765. It is truly amazing the jewels of information that can be learned from these benchmark cars. Again space is limited due to the amount of time required to verify and certify all reference areas, so apply early.

Well its dusk blue, m22, 373 gears, with 47K miles. Oh btw we just registered a 64 GTO tripower with 8k miles. We are actually over booked (long days and nights certifying), but I just couldn't turn down this iconic muscle car that started it all. This is going to be one heck of a show, and those interested in our program or any specific car, stop by the Vintage Certification section. We are easy to spot since we have the only lift at the show.

Thanks Bruce. Looks like we may have another surprise, an ultra low mileage(43 miles) 67 Chevelle SS in our Heritage display. BTW anyone who has an unrestored car and would like to bring their car we have a few slots open in our Heritage Display but they are filling up quickly.
