Hello...I know of a guy selling a 9J12 1100837 alternator. It looks a tad suspicious. Does anyone know if this is a valid date for this alternator...?

Well.... Here's the scoop. My eyes, with glasses, see the number 3963339P. I then went to the good ol' AIM on page 328 it says "extension" should be, guess what, 3963339 and was changed sometime...

You know, Rick. My eyes are kind of bad. They're 50 years old these days. I'm gonna have to put on some glasses now and check that number. It's a real pain tying flies.

Does anybody know if they sell that black plastic coating they used to put on clips for plug wires and on valve covers to prevent tearing or cutting....?
