KICK PANEL REMOVAL

Attempting to reomve my early style kick panels fronm my 69 Yenko Camaro with no luck (car is not disassembled - carpet pulled back). One of the previous owners installed speakers in these panels....

Date Code On Manual Steering Box

I have noticed that the 69 manual sterring box has a small tab on it with a julian date code. Two examples would be A1239 and B0220.
What does the A and B represent? Also the B0220 came off a 69...
