Thanks men! Yes, the lip moldings will be coming off and sills painted. I have the originals polished up and packed in a PVC tube for safe keeping. I'm thinking before I do the "green out", getting a pic of the car in GT trim for the fun of it.
Local Ford dealer still wants it on display in their showroom, but I don't think I want to do that. I'm fearful of what it might look like afterwards. Probably more damage and would look worse than right after the chase scene was over!
