Jason, that's correct. You can dye light to dark but cannot dye dark to light.

Paul - I suggest you contact Charlie Santorelli of Seatbelt Sity. He's the best, old school seatbelt guy this hobby has. Whether you need the belts cleaned, dyed, restored, repaired, etc, he is your guy.
