Okay, the 396 doesn't exactly <span style="font-style: italic">feel</span> like a 396. My Christmas wish list thus far is:
Timing tab (This is why I couldn't tell you how it was set, it doesn't have one on it.)
Shift kit (TH400 feels a bit sloppy.)

Is there anything else I should think of? Carb just sorta quit acting up, and frankly, we don't have the money for a new one, nor do we really know how to rebuild one. I feel a shift kit and some timing adjustments could really wake it up.
