Queen City Chevrolet License Plate Frame?
Hi Everybody,
If anyone would know this answer it would be you guys! My '66 427 Corvette was sold new from Queen City Chevrolet in Cincinnati. Has anyone out there ever seen a 1960's era metal license plate frame showing that dealership's name on it? I've personally never seen one. And I've never seen a metal dealership emblem either. If anyone out there has seen one of these would you please share what they looked like here? Example photos would be fabulous! Thanks Guys, Mike |

The only picture I have of anything like that from Queen City is for a sticker on the rear panel. This one is on an original paint '67 Z. I have not seen a license plate frame or die cast emblem from that dealer but I'm not from that part of the country and they may exist.

A photo of your '67 Yenko die cast emblem would be excellent!

Hello 1967Z28 and camarojoe,
Here's an NOS sticker that I got from a very generous guy in Cincinnati about 10 years ago. My gut feeling has been that this fender sticker is 1970's - early 1980's vintage. But if that sticker you posted shown on that '67 Z with survivor paint is original to dealership sale, then they were used earlier. Anybody have any thoughts to how early these stickers were used? My sticker measures 1-1/4" X 7" inches. Surprisingly small for a dealership decal in my opinion. Mike P.S. Just noticed while posting this.....The '67 Camaro has a white letter version sticker and my NOS sticker is a black letter version. Obviously for light colored paint. I have photos of a brand new yellow 67 Yenko sold through Queen City. It has the black lettered sticker just like your NOS one, mounted just below the Camaro script(no spoiler). I believe they used both depending on a the paint color.

Thanks Tarrytown SS427s,
I think we're on to something here! I have no photos of my '66 427 convertible Vette in her factory original Nassau Blue paint from the rear. Now I'm wondering if one of these stickers was affixed to my car at the dealership too? A photo of that new yellow '67 Yenko showing this sticker would be great! Mike |

I don’t think I can upload a picture here anymore, but if you send me your phone # I will text you a picture of it. What is the vin of your Corvette? I have a binder of sales invoices from Queen City.
