Default M&h g60/15

Anyone running a G60/15 M&H Street Strip tire on a 6" rim/wheel?
Pics would be helpful, plus any advice if this combo would work...

Thanks

Really made for 7-8" rim. Yes a 6" rim will work but it looks odd-sidewall sucked in.

As bad as guys running a 10" rim with a 7-8" tire sidewall is bulged out.

The narrow rim / wide tire thing seems to be "day 2" period correct though. You see lots of old photos with wide tires and narrow wheels.

What kind of car are you going to be putting these tires on? What 15" wheels will you be using?

Thanks for the input...

Car is a Vega, doing a day 2 build....
I'm drawn to the sidewall bulge, I like the look on a lot of the day 2 cars on this site...
I guess my thoughts are, can I get that look with a 7" wheel or go with 6" wheel?

Wheels will be just your standard steel wheel...

I kinda like the sidewall bulge look as well, reminds of growing up with guys who didn't have the $$ for the fancy stuff - spent their money on wider tires before they could afford the wider wheels.

You can do it... the bulge will be there. You will also wear out the center of the tires. Give me a call if you want pricing on Polyglas.

Yup. The "bulge" looks much better than the other way around (narrow tire / wide rim). Seems like back in the day, a lot of people were sticking L60's, etc on stock 7" rally wheels, and G60s on narrow 5.5 or 6" Mopar road wheels (at least that's what I recall from the early 80s).

Are you going to use a shortened rear? If not your tires will probably extend further out from the wheel wells then what is stock. Some states don't permit that. You might want to check with your DMV on that issue.
