So, what are you gonna do about the rolled rear fender lips? Fix 'em when you repaint it?
I've always used a small crescent wrench. Just snug it up and bend down into place. Scoot over a 1/2 an inch, repeat. Might have to go back in a couple places, but you should be able to get it close to perfect. Even though, the Dana hoods are flimsy, that one for sale would have looked good. |

I'm not sure how that Dana hood would look with stripes. Steam cleaned under the car today. I forgot just how messy that always is. Probably spent a hour under it steam cleaning. Kept smelling gas and just figured it was fumes from the gas tank etc. Finally see gas pouring out a hole in fuel line. I have no idea how much leaked out. As I'm cutting the tubing so I can slip some rubber line over it the gas is running down my arm into my arm pit, into my shoes etc. That gas burns !!!

Good Job. Charley Is this the Car that was in Oregon? I spoke to a seller that was listing it for his friend, If I remember correctly. I was struggling getting a bead on values as I was neg with a co-worker who has given up on His restoration of his Uncles LOS 12D 1968 Z28. (Which I did purchase).
Great Car. The 68s need some Love at times,,,,,, Jim

Yes this is that car. The guy that had it for the last 30 years bought it just for the engine because he had bought back his other 68 Z28 for 500.00 minus engine. He had lost his other Z in a divorce and somehow the engine for it got removed and the car had been seized and sold at auction. He never got around to yanking the engine and thru the years realized he should leave the engine in this car. I think now that he sold this car he and his Son are going to restore his other Z. Nice guy. It wasn't cheap if you compare it to what you can buy a restored 68Z for but it's a special car that needs to be saved. I was delighted at just how solid this car is.
