My insurance policy allows 2500 miles per year for each car. I have a 1969 427 corvette and a 1969 Camaro SS 396. I drive them both to there Max miles per my current policy.

Sadly, I am one of those guys that worries it will get chipped, smashed or I just will put too many miles on it. I have been this way for 40 years. The good news, I never have a problem selling my stuff because it’s so nice!!

My wife drives our 69 RS Z daily. She put just over 10,000 miles on it last year alone. I drive some of our others a similar amount. Year round driving weather in AZ does that.

I'm with Bergy!!
I drove the Silver Z I just finished - concourse resto - drove it to the Pavilions 45 miles each way, mostly to shake it down but it ran great, and showed great, and was a blast to drive!

X77 car? Looked really good last night. Nicely done.
We drove ours down last night, 270 mile round trip for me with a stop over in Fountain Hills on our way through. |

Amen to those who “really” drive your cars. No offense to anyone but I can not imagine owning a muscle car no matter the value and not driving it. I live in Dallas TX and really this is the best time of the year for these old cars. Nice and cool in the 50’s. I am lucky enough to run around with some guys that have the same passion as me. We meet up for breakfast on nice sunny Saturday mornings and then all go out for some spirited driving while heading to some sort of a car event Miles per year? I really have no idea.

That's great to hear. We stopped daily driving new cars a few years ago. Tired of the electronics and things. Was my wife's idea. She's old school and wanted to make the Z hers to drive, so I did. I'm all for the idea and we have the weather year round to support it so why not. I used to be the guy that rarely drove them. Then realized she was right. I was tired of seeing the cars sit with minimal enjoyment, and we aren't getting any younger so my mindset has changed. Now we drive them everywhere.

Love hearing that you stopped driving new cars. How cool! These new cars are just appliances to me. The new pony cars are pretty darn ugly, but they do perform and I respect them for that only.
