Chris, I just don't think that photo is real. I know the car is hurt, but the hood is up, it's got a good 8" rally wheel on it, it doesn't even appear to be resting on the forks of the loader and it just seems to be a different quality photo than the rest of the scene. It’s a fiberglass body.......how much is it worth in scrap metal?

Like I said, I know they're crazy, but that dumb?????

OR there's another theory......... Guido and Frankie paid to have the car disappear in a hurry....

Vern, that pic is real. I blew it up to 200%, and what you see are the rocker panel trim pieces on the forks, giving the illusion of it resting higher than it should.
With the hood up and the windshield smashed, I'm guessing that the motor is gone, and that year of 'vette is not worth the price of restoration, or stripping out for parts.
Sad sight to see, though.

the picture is all real.i will try to find the other ones i have of it.last year sometime i posted in the other dealers section that if any body wanted the dale chevrolet emblem on from this car i have it(for free no intrest)i even said it was removed from a mid 70s corvette from the yard i work at.sadly enough not all yards or people are in to old cars.i have been there about 6 or so years and have seen alot of cars get crushed.its much easier to sell parts from a mid 90s caravan than a mid 70s corvette.the car was rough.interior was a rats nest, both bumpers junk, hood junk, windshield smashed and sitting in a dirt floor garage with a leaky roof for 10 or so years.lots of underside rust.here is the one when it first came in iam still looking for the others

Why would any one run a Corvette though a crusher? After crushing with all of the fiberglass, there would not be that much left to salvage.

Yep, I give up. The dumb junkie could have sold the 4 rallys for what he got in scrap for the rest!
