Default Need some Muncie shifter parts

I've just found a day 2 muncie shifter for my 69 Nova L78 and now I realize i need some parts to complete the install.
My assembly manual indicates I need a Stabilizer shaft pn 3913710 and Bracket PN 3920250 that are specific to Big Block Novas. I woulds also require two rubber grommets. This shaft attaches the trans to the shifter.
Thanks,
Martin

Martin - look real close at the fine print in your Ass. Manual. It says "trash this piece of sh*t and buy a Hurst Comp. Plus" . Seriously, even a fresh rebuild on a Muncie shifter pales in comparison to a worn Hurst shifter. BTW, yr link does not work.

Sam is giving you ggod advise...keep the original Muncie shifter in a safe place and install the Hurst for driving. We have put a "modified" Muncie handle on the Hurst shifter....it looks the part, but it still works

wilma

ps...those parts you asked about are out there, though I'm not sure they are BB specific. Some other experts may know more...

Thanks for the advice guys...Looks like the best place for the Muncie is in a locker....The HURST stays....perhaps I'll look for a handle and go the Muncie / Hurst way like Tom.

All I have ever used were Hurst but even my Dad said he hated his Muncie shifter. He said he was always under the car fixing it.

Was just looking for the marks on my arm. Can't see them but can remember the sizzle. Kept a pair of channel lock pliers in the console just for that purpose. What a piece of crap.
