It would be nice to have the MCACN Show at this IX facility due to the amount of room and enormous size of the building.. But it's location is not as convenient as Chicago for those traveling to the show from around the country..

When I moved from the Cleveland area 27 years ago the car culture was strong but I did not really appreciate how strong it was.

But seeing is believing-I mean at $20 dollars a head this show had shockingly high gate even at closing on Sunday.

You just do not see that kind of turn out at most shows these days.

Top award on Sunday was 10K...a very nice parting gift. Multiple awards (10 each ??) of $350, $500 & $750 as well.. I heard over 1000 cars trucks, boats and bikes making it the largest in the series. It’s got a large footprint.

A little history on the IX center known as the former Cleveland tank plant, they only use a portion of it for the car show, the place is BIG .

Many know that Mikey is "The Man" when it comes to restoring cars, but did you guys also know that he's a techno-geek too?. Here is a rarely seen shot of him teaching a young lad about these new fad-phones that are all the rage. Like asking a doctor at a party, "Hey doc... what's this thing here with fluid coming out? And why does it twitch on its own? ", it's not overly polite to ask him about this stuff in a social setting. But always the gentleman, he helps out us little people from time to time. Let's listen in....."See.... the reason you can't see the image is your screen rotation is off. Just pull your menu down from the top... double finger swipe...press this... and look here! See? That's why you can't see anything. Your screen rotation is off..............ya schmuck!"

Cheers
Dave
