----My 1st headliner install was not good. I was doing an El Camino and when I used the heat gun to get rid of a few minor wrinkles I promptly blew a hole in the headliner.......Bill S

Just watched a new episode of Jay Leno's Garage where he got to drive the original Bulitt Mustang. The owner was there and told the story of how his father came to own the car and what he paid for it back in 1974.
Pretty cool story; Dave you're doing an AMAZING job with yours. Thanks for taking the time to bring us along for the ride.

Thanks for the kind words! I think this build is touching a lot of car guys and gals and that's what makes this so much fun! Yes, lot of movie cars out there. Lots of Bullitt tributes too.... but I'm trying to "one up" the masses in my details. And, not to mention, would like to think I could do the MCA proud in a judging critique! Looking forward to having you guys sit in the car and enjoy it too! Just no reverse burnouts....I think Bob would ban me!

I'm happy with the center cap look but want those front wheels out a little more out of the wells, so a 1/4" spacer should do it. The studs are plenty long to handle it.

The doors contain no less than three trim pieces and with everything in place along with the roof rail weather stripping, they shut tight! I picked up the aircleaner from the chrome shop before I headed out. Glass installed Thursday!

Cheers
Dave

You guys rock!

There are many mysteries in life. Lots of lore, strange sightings, and so much left undiscovered. Barn finds all over, a Declaration Of Independence found behind a hunk of drywall, Elvis in the lobby at any given hotel in Vegas. All amazing! But of all the rare things to see out there, I'd say the top three in my mind are Bigfoot, my wallet filled with cash, and an air cleaner S-tube and exhaust manifold heat shroud for a 68 Mustang 390 GT. I've officially now eliminated two of the three: the air cleaner S-tube is in my possession and as such, a wallet full of cash is now gone.

This was the last piece of the puzzle I was missing for the Mighty Stangatang! Where'd I find it? Craigslist Vegas.... where else? Thank you... Thank You very much...

Cheers
Dave

I just drove along the marina, etc., in SF on a layover on Saturday and we were talking about the Bullitt chase scenes and how they didn't have any permits!
