Agreed Larry...I spoke to Rusty Small at MCACN about Kelsey possibly doing a radial version of the Goodyear Polytglas GTs...did not seem to be much interest at Kelsey from his perspective. Anyone have any contacts direct at Kelsey?

Sorry, you are not going to find anyone else who is going to be talking to Kelsey more than I am.

Kelsey's stance is that he has always been the most accurate reproduction tire on the market. He is not ready to jump into this and like someone else mentioned, polarize the market.

I am going to be watching the results and listening to what is being said.

As for radials, Kelsey is taking care of the 70's and into the 80's with accurate tires for the era.

As for the pricing, I do not see it sliding back down. The testing necessary for DOT on radials is a lot more than the bias plys.

If anyone purchases these tires, I would be interested in hearing about the way these tires preform.

For as much as anybody drives these cars there is nothing wrong with the nylon thumper repros. Concentrate on correctness (red line and white wall positions) and everything else is pretty good I think.

Its a shame that most of these cars really only see first and reverse after their restorations.

I still think someone needs to make a bias ply (or look-alike) L-60-14 for guys that want a wider "day 2" tire with factory 14x7 wheels. There are no wide tire options anymore for a 26-27" tall 14" tire. G70-14 or 225/70R14 is all we have. 245/60R14s are a little too short for the right "look" on an A-body car. I love L60-14s on the back of a '69-70 Chevelle SS with stock 14x7 wheels.

It would be nice if they offered them with white stripes in addition to the red.

I know of a couple of other request for a couple of different sizes. Seeing as how the day 2 movement is gaining momentum, I can give a real reason to Kelsey to have him look at making the L60-14 Polyglas.

I need more phones ringing to make the case have some weight.

Rusty - seems like it would be a natural addition since so many muscle cars came with 14" wheels. Seems like 15s weren't all that common until the 1970s. I'm guessing that 7" is about as narrow as you can possibly go with an L-60 tire? Might be an issue for the cars that came with 14x6 wheels? However, it seems like there are plenty of wider "day 2" wheels available - just no tires to mount on them.

Honestly, there has been little asking for 14" day 2 additions/sizes. That being said, I will inquire.

I think I'll be ordering a pair for another set of wheels I have for the Z/28

Would like to see Kelsey doing the same with the Goodyear tires but I am still happy with the Polyglass for my second set wheels.
