Default Fast 4 cylinder....could of been

Cleaning out the barn today and dusted off my 76 Cosworth Vega. Check out the window sticker, yep, it is still on it! This thing was loaded, with a posi and a BW 5 spd. The race version of the engine was 260hp, unfortunately with the long production delays it ended up seriously detuned. Mr DeLorean had great ideas with it but couldn't make it happen. It costs roughly $800 less than a vette in 76, which was an obvious turn off for many buyers.
The motor was hand built in Tonawanda same engine plant/room as the ZL-1. It is believed the to be one of the first cars to come from the factory with a stainless header. 1975 Cosworth's are all black while in 76 eight colors were offered. The car is actually fun to drive which doesn't happen much as it only has 308 miles. I have an retained the original tires and rims and use the ones that are on it for quick spins and storage purposes.
Thought you guys might get a kick out of it!

Cool! I always liked those cars. I've had 3 Vegas, but they all had the crappy aluminum block and were pretty much shot. I saw one of those on a local car lot several years ago. They started out at around $8500, but nobody was interested. They kept dropping the price until it got down to around $3500. I think somebody finally took it home for that. Seems like they would be a lot of fun. Yours look excellent! More pics please.
